Our expedition begins at the Antarctic coastline, surrounded by penguins and wildlife.

We cross Berkner Island towards the Dufek Mountains, part of the Transantarctic Range. These mountains mark the entry to the South Pole plateau—a steep climb filled with crevasses and icy headwinds.
​
On the plateau, temperatures drop to -35°C (-31°F), and with wind chill, it feels as cold as -80°C (-112°F).
​
This harsh, frozen landscape will be our home for the next month as we push towards the Pole.
